INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED AFTER BACK WHEELS FALL OFF AMBULANCE

first_imgA full investigation has been launched after two wheels came off an ambulance traveling with patients from Letterkenny General Hospital to Galway.The dramatic incident has been confirmed by the National Ambulance Service.The incident happened on August 26th last when the driver hard a loud noise and the ambulance came to a halt.The incident is understood to have happened just outside Sligo Town. County Councillor Gerry McMonagle told Donegal Daily that he understands that only for the actions of the driver, the situation could have been much worse.“I understand there were a number of patients in the rear of the ambulance being transported to Galway for treatment.“From what I am told the situation could have ben much worse but for the action of the driver.“There are now obvious questions which must be answered as a result of this very serious incident.
