GLENCAR TAKE THE HONOURS IN THE STEPHEN MALSEED MEMORIAL CUP

first_imgThe inaugural Stephen Malseed Memorial Cup Final took place yesterday at Leckview Park in Letterkenny with Glencar Over 35’s taking the honours after a 1-0 victory over Oldtown thanks to a strike from Glencar Legend Peter “Captain” Toner.Stephen was a huge Aresenal fan passed away last year at the tender age of 34. His family decided to hold a Memorial Cup Competition in his memory.On Thurdsay night,  Oldtown defeated hot favourites Iona on penalties in the first semi final and on Friday, Glencar defeated Lurgy 2-1.
