It’s already been a crazy week for fantasy football owners, with Chiefs handcuff Spencer Ware setting the free agent market on fire on Friday. Perhaps it’s not a surprise our top Week 14 fantasy waiver wire pickups are a little lacking in excitement then, as owners can only handle so much ahead of the fantasy playoffs. With Matt Breida being the lone notable injury (Update: And James Conner) — at least to RBs — there aren’t many “must-have” replacements. Sure, there are some worthwhile free agents (Jeff Wilson Jr.,Jaylen Samuels, Lamar Jackson, Adam Humphries, Courtland Sutton, Zay Jones, Dante Pettis, Marcell Ateman, Bruce Ellington, Chase Edmonds), but if you’re counting any of these guys to lead you to a fantasy championship … you’re probably in the consolation bracket.Of course, you still might be looking to use a waiver claim on a D/ST or TE streamer — the two positions that can always be plug-and-play depending on your other options. Our full free agent list has plenty of suggestions for those key spots, as well as plenty of potential WR3s. Those streamers can be found at the end of this list. If you’re worried about your current kicker or just enjoy numbered lists of names, check out our Week 14 kicker rankings for possible replacements. MORE: Full Week 14 waiver wire list | RB handcuff chartWith only a handful teams left competing for fantasy titles in most leagues, there probably doesn’t need to be any waiver claims used this week. Breida owners might go all-in for Wilson Jr., but as you’ll read below, you might never want to start him. You just know there’s at least one big injury left this year, so maintaining a high waiver claim for that exact situation could really pay off if you’re already ahead of the other owners still in the running. ( Update: And it might have happend Sunday night with James Conner going down, making Jaylen Samuels a potentially worthwhile pickup.) If you’re at the bottom of the list — go nuts. Doesn’t matter anyway, so stock up on depth options for this coming week and beyond.Week 14 Rankings:Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | KickerTop fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 14Unless otherwise noted, only players owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues considered.Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, 49ers. Matt Breida has been hampered by ankle issues most of the season, and he was seen limping numerous times throughout Sunday’s game. He finally left the game for good early in the third quarter, giving way to Wilson Jr., who was dealing with a foot issue of his own. The 6-0, 194-pound rookie out of North Texas finished with decent stats, running 15 times for 61 yards and adding another eight receptions for 73 yards. Wilson took over for Alfred Morris as the 49ers’ primary backup two weeks ago, and it seems likely that if he’s healthy, he’ll be the lead back if Breida misses time. (Update: Breida has already been ruled out for Week 14.) Morris will have a role, too, but Wilson should be prioritized ahead of him. He might not ever be worth starting, as San Francisco has Denver, Seattle and Chicago over the next three games, but any starting RB has potential value.WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight endLamar Jackson, QB, Ravens. By leading the Ravens to a victory over the Falcons, Jackson all but ensured that he will remain the starter even after Joe Flacco (hip) is fully healthy. Even better, he was able to rush for 75 yards and a score on 17 carries (two of which were kneel downs) against Atlanta despite missing a portion of the game because of a concussion scare. Jackson’s rushing upside will make him a borderline QB1 in favorable matchups, which he has the next two weeks when Baltimore takes on the Chiefs and Buccaneers. His 125 passing yards today wasn’t terrible when you factor in the missed time, so he’ll remain a high floor option if you’re looking for help at the QB position.MORE WEEK 14: Full waiver list Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos. A waiver-wire must-have after Demaryius Thomas’s trade, Sutton’s ownership percentage has fallen to 48 in Yahoo leagues. That will shoot up this week, as Sutton had a breakout game against the Bengals. He led the Broncos with four catches, 85 yards, and a TD on seven targets. Sutton is emerging as the top receiving option in the Broncos receiving corps, so he should continue to see plenty of action down the stretch. A matchup with the hapless 49ers in Week 14 should give him a good chance to repeat his success, and he could easily finish the year as a WR3 with Cleveland and Oakland on tap in Weeks 15 and 16, respectively.WEEK 14 DFS GPP LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel | DraftKings Justin Jackson, RB, Chargers. With Austin Ekeler struggling most of the game, Jackson provided the Chargers with a jolt on Sunday night, rushing eight times for 63 yards and a score and adding a 19-yard reception. Ekeler still had more total touches (18), but with only 43 total yards, it’s entirely possible Jackson gets a bigger share next week against the Bengals’ lowly run defense if Melvin Gordon (knee) is out again.Jaylen Samuels, RB, Steelers. With James Conner suffering a lower-leg injury late in Sunday night’s game, Samuels took over, posting 25 yards on five touches, including a 10-yard TD. If Conner is out (Update: He’s out), Samuels would likely split time with Stevan Ridley, but Samuel is a multi-threat as both a big, physical runner and receiver. As a bonus, he’s TE-eligible in Yahoo leagues, making him a potential game-changer if Conner is out next week. For additional waiver wire/free agent options, including streamers at every positions, check out our full Week 14 list.
